Our story unfolded with the opening of our first store in 2017, a humble beginning that laid the foundation for our venture’s remarkable growth. In January 2019, we took a significant step forward by acquiring our first laser cutter, enabling us to infuse precision and intricacy into our creations like never before. The demand for our exceptional products continued to rise, leading us to relocate to a larger premises in 2019, allowing us to better serve our valued customers.
The year 2020 brought unprecedented challenges, but we faced them head-on. Even amidst the pandemic’s uncertainty, we acquired our second laser cutter in March 2020, reinforcing our commitment to delivering excellence. In September 2020, we proudly established our current premises, a place where innovation flourishes and unique ideas come to life.

Expanding Horizons

A partnership that began in November 2020 saw the opening of our Oudtshoorn store, extending our reach and sharing our passion with a wider audience. This expansion was accompanied by the acquisition of our third laser cutter in January 2021, underlining our dedication to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
By November 2021, we had taken over the Oudtshoorn store independently, embracing the opportunity to immerse ourselves further in a community that had embraced us so warmly. And as a testament to our commitment to innovation, a UV printer became part of our creative arsenal in January 2023, allowing us to explore new avenues of personalization.

Our founder, Elretha, has a rich background as an Operational Analyst and holds a degree in education. This unique blend of skills, along with a steadfast commitment to quality, has been the driving force behind our growth. Elretha ventured into this journey while working full-time, demonstrating the unwavering dedication that has shaped Youniq Gifts and Accessories.

Family is at the heart of our endeavor, with Elretha’s husband joining the team full-time, embodying the shared passion that fuels our creativity. As parents themselves, Elretha and her family understand the importance of creating moments that truly matter.
